Abstract |

Combination of steel and concrete structures called composite structures are widely used in bridge engineering. There are many advantages of combining these two-material and bringing the structure as a composite structure. The composite bridge leads to a high span to depth ratio, minimizes the deck slab deflection, and maximizes the bridge stiffness ratio. In this paper we are studying a single Span Steel truss bridge with a 300mm thick concrete deck slab. The goal of this research is to regulate the design aspects of variable parameters by varying the height to span ratio (H/L) of the truss bridge type and monitoring the deflection of the deck slab. The stringer beam flange's thickness is the variable parameter considered for an effective H/L ratio during the Steel Bridge review. Steel through-truss (composite bridge) analysis has been done by using Structural Analysis Program software (SAP2000). IRC Class AA tracked vehicle load and wind load is considered for analysis. |
