Abstract

The Russian and international power industries must make the shift to intelligent energy systems. The capacity to manage power flows in electrical networks is one of the characteristics of intellectualization. Commercial structures include IT company offices, educational institutions, residences, and airports, among others. Many single-phase and three-phase loads, including non-linear loads such as electronic and magnetic ballasts, switched mode power supplies (SMPS), air-conditioning systems, lifts, pumps, server, IT equipment, printers, small and large UPS, refrigerators, photocopier machines, office automation accessories, and fire-fighting systems, are typical loads in these commercial buildings. These loads are extremely sensitive to voltage changes at the input. When electrical equipment is supplied with contaminated or distorted voltage, its performance suffers. It may be implemented using a variety of devices that allow for the control of parameters and network operating modes. Using the Matlab Simulink programmed, the approach is used to investigate the effective regions of thyristor voltage regulator (TVR) functioning in parallel power transmission lines. The proposed TVR simulation model enables for voltage control in three directions: longitudinal, transverse, and longitudinal-transverse. The examined section of the distribution electrical network was subjected to power flow regulation utilizing the designed device.
