Abstract |
NiFe2O4 nanoparticles have been synthesized by microwave route. The sample was characterized by Fourier Transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy; FTIR spectra show the stretching and bending vibrations of Ni–O and Fe–O bonds in nickel ferrite. Structures and morphology of sample was studied by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) analyses confirmed the formation of single-phase nickel ferrite nanoparticles of average size 31.42 nm and 25.39 nm respectively. The magnetic properties of the sample were measured at room temperature using Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) in the field range ±15000G. Hysteresis loop obtained room temperature for NiFe2O4 nanoparticles indicates that the nanoparticles are ferromagnetic in nature. |
