Abstract |
Agile – denotes “the quality of being agile; readiness for motion; nimbleness, activity, dexterity in motionâ€. During the past forty years, new software development approaches were introduced to fit the new cultures of the software development companies. Most software companies nowadays aim to produce valuable software in short time period with minimal costs, and within unstable, changing environments. Thus, Agile Methodologies were introduced to meet the new requirements of the software development companies. This paper basically reviews different agile methodologies, describes the differences between them, the pros and cons of applying agile processes to the research projects and recommends when to use them. |
